San Bernardino City Park & Recreation operates 20 parks within the City with varying public facilities.

San Bernardino County Regional Parks operates 10 public facilities offering camping, fishing, boating, trap & skeet, swimming facilities, and water slides. Beautiful recreational lakes and picnic areas await those planning pleasant, relaxing family outings.

For an interesting side-trip from Lake Arrowhead, visit the Indian mortars near one of the ranger stations on Highway 173. Substantial archeological evidence indicates that Native Americans inhabited this site seasonally for more than 4000 years! Or, take a trip through Holcomb Valley where the gold rush started in the late 1800s.
